Activities

"ISTRA"

is an interactive network which stimulates knowledge, exchange and working-out Comenius projects. These projects strengthen reading and writing skills, as an “essential prime mover” for personality development and for a better knowledge of European people.

FORUM

"ISTRA"

uses library and the ICT as school community motivators. It proposes cross curricular activities working on interdisciplinary, sportsmanship, sexual and social equality, disabled people integration, fight against violence, racism and xenofobia.

"ISTRA"

expands results, connects them to the school life and then to the teacher training; it draws search directions and finally integrates them with similar and complementary projects developed by different corporations.

"ISTRA"

We have the following objectives:

  1. To elaborate an interative platform in order to get to know, exchange and co-operate with other Comenius projects.
  2. To expand and enrich the NET with other kind of projects with the same thematic, developed by different institutions.
  3. To identify and disseminate good practices.
  4. To promote dinamic European patterns.
  5. To promote active nets between the participants: schools, training centers, research centers, educational authorities, different kinds of assotiations (cultural, parents, training, etc).
  6. To carry out comparative studies in the different levels and topics
  7. To support the elaboration of new projects.
  8. To evaluate the development of ISTRA and the impact of the patterns proposed on the changes and improvements made in education.
  9. To make publicity of some suggestions for future action.
  10. To elaborate a plan for net sustainability.
  11. To start with a European comparative study of the “idealdinamic supervisor” for school libraries ( training curricula).
  12. To elaborate diverse materials.

The NET has been designed to offer students and teachers access to a place where they can find active proposals that can be used in order to improve their daily work. At the same time, they are encouraged to join the net, making their participation easier by feasable proposals and making them feel more integrated as European citizens.
